New sight lines at the course for 2013:

Hole #10 - The big willow tree off to the mid left of the fairway is no longer with us.  Hurricane Sandy started the destruction on November 1st with removing many huge branches on the right hand side of the tree and there after the maintenance crew finished off the rest in December.  The remaining tree stump was removed in late January, when the ground was frozen.  Too many large branches were breaking free from the tree, in the slightest wind and we felt that it was becoming a safety hazard to those that would be around it.  I am certain many golfers will rejoice, however, no more excuses ladies and gents!

Hole #17 - The rusty old back hoe, that sat off to the left side of this hole (between the pond and the river) for the last 29 years; was finally taken out of the valley piece by piece, in January.  Paul, took it upon himself to finally remove this monumental piece from the course.  What can i say, he got board one day and decided it needed to finally go; either that, he just want to play with his welding torch and front end loader.
